CASALETA Wines "BEYOND A GLASS OF WINE"
Speaking of Marche, and in particular the province of Ancona, it seems spontaneous to link this region to one of the most awarded italian wines: the “Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi”.
CASALETA Wines is a family-run winemaker in the Province of Ancona and our 5 hectares vineyard is located in Castiglioni di Arcevia (AN) in a tiny plot of land inside the Classic Verdicchio Area.
Verdicchio is a wine varietal with Controlled Designation of Origin which you can find only in Marche region; with his white berry Verdicchio wine varietal is perfect for fresh and high enduring wines.
Thanks to his versatility, Verdicchio wine varietal can be used for still wine as well as sparkling wine (with both Classic and Charmat method) and Passito wine. His longevity and his important sensory structure made Verdicchio a wine characterized by long sharpenings which made this wine earn the definition of “red wine dressed as a white one”.
We are patiently recover an ancient local biotype of VERDICCHIO DEI CASTELLI DI JESI grapevine which date back to more than 70 years ago. “The ancient ladies”, with exclusive ampelographic features, are perfectly integrated with the territory in which they are able to express themselves with elegance.
Manual and scrupulous producing reserved to the vineyard, surrounded by modern technologies in the wine cellar, make us capable of pursuing our goal of let you find in your glasses the flavours and the smells of our dear territory. Our white wines are from VERDICCHIO SINGLE VARIETY whereas our red wines are blended from 5 different wine varietal of our property.
We vinificate our grapes, bottle it in our wine cellar and then we sell our wine while we match perfectly the philosophy of Federazione Italiana Vignaioli indipendenti (FIVI).
You can order our best wines by filling in the information form with which you can comfortably recieve it at home with the delivery of Verdicchio wine in Italy and in Europe.
For those who are interested in knowing better our Verdicchio, we are ready to welcome you in our cellar for a wine tasting of our wines such as the Classic, the Superior, the Sparkling Wine and the Passito which are coltivated in our vineyard in Castiglioni di Arcevia. With the wine tasting we propose a snack with our typical products.
It is also possible, according to the weather conditions and for groups, to book a vineyard guided tour discovering one of the most great italian white wines and the wine art that characterizes the tradition of Marche.
