The PRINCIPINO MIELERIA farm by Petrolati Federico in the Province of Ancona was born during my academic journey. Along with my studies I felt the urge to do something more practical: all the formulas I was studying and all the books I was reading weren't enough and that's remarkable because being an electronics engineer I've stored a lot of formulas up.

My wife Sara Castiglioni has a degree in Food Science and has done her PhD in the beekeeping field, analyzing pollen of various botanical species in Marche. Our son, the 4-years-old Alessandro, is our meticulous supervisor.

Why bees? I honestly don't know! One day I saw a video about bees and I instantly fell in love with them.

I learnt about a man here in Arcevia who was giving away his last two beehives. I went there and loaded them on my truck.

Our slogan, GOODNESS for Marche's LOVE comes from the fact that everything we produce is made with all the love and the passion we have.



We follow the BIO production chain even though we don't have any certification. The wax we use to make the bees store honey is entirely made by the fusion of the beeswax we extract from the looms once the honey is mature and stamped by the bees through a wax top.

We move the bees around our territory in order to find particular florescences and immaculate lands: our nomadism is a short range one.

I’ve followed tons of beekeeping courses such as sensorial honey analysis. We love to narrate our passion to our customers in order to transmit what’s inside that little spoon of honey we offer when we expose our products in local street markets.

This is, in a nutshell, our little organization!
