The fortified castle of Montale:

The fortified castle of Montale in province of Ancona, built in 1200, manteins perfectly the medieval system, closed inside the ramparts.

It is located in a circular hillock, at an altitude of 280 meters.

The use of brick is dominant both for the internal constructions and for the surrounding walls.

The St. Silvestro church, from 1200, has a side incorporated in its walls and the bell tower made from an ancient control tower dallafrom which was possible to see the mountain Conero of Ancona .

Inside there are some works made by Gianpaolo Ramazzani.
